Roads alert: Fallen trees on numerous routes in Donegal this morning

Several roads are currently blocked due to fallen trees in the wake of Storm Darragh this morning.

Donegal County Council has issued notices for roads across the county where fallen trees have been reported.

Storm Darragh has led to the cancellation of hundreds of events in the county, and also has caused widespread power outages.

Below is a list of roads that Donegal County Council have issued alerts about, with fallen trees and electricity wires in areas;

R236 blocked between St Johnston and Porthall

R236 blocked near Convoy at Broad Road

R264 near Raphoe blocked due to fallen ESB wires near Hardware & Grain

Trees down on road at Moville Upper Pier

Tree down on Illies road (main road)

N13 around the Newtowncunningham area, trees down on hard shoulder on both sides

N56 tree down, road blocked near Falcarragh

Road blocked leading to Grianan of Aileach

R238 tree down along main road at Umcriam

Bridgend roundabout tree down, council and ESB teams on site

Trees also reported down at Lower Derryreel, Killult, The mines beside Grotto, Keeldrum (Mangan’s road)
