Donegal Women’s League Winter League kicks off tomorrow evening

The Donegal Women’s League Winter League kicks off tomorrow evening from 7pm.  

Twelve teams will be competing in the seven-a side competition over three venues.

Fanad United Red and Fanad United Black, Bonagee United, Finn Valley Ladies, Lagan Harps and Drumbar United all in action at Aura Leisure Centre.

At Ballyare, Raphoe Town Whites, Letterkenny Rovers and Kildrum Tigers will be playing.

Cappry Park will host Cappry Rovers, Raphoe Town Blues and Deele Harps. Matches will be 15 minutes per half.

The Donegal Women’s League are planning to grow the Winter League into a successful summer league for senior teams by gradually increasing the playing numbers and teams.

Women’s and girls’ football participation has grown enormously over the last few years with 71 teams playing competitively from under 12 upwards and most clubs in Donegal hosting teams from 5 years and up.
