Inish Theatre Group release special Band Aid 40th anniversary video!

The Inish Theatre Group has recorded a very special version of Band Aid in honour of its 40th anniversary.

This special version delivers a powerful message of hope and peace ahead of the festive season and the new year ahead, with the brilliant local performers of the Inish Theatre Group taking centre stage.

Unlike previous versions of Band Aid, which raised funds for humanitarian causes, Inish Theatre Group’s rendition focuses on raising awareness. “We are not asking for donations,” says Adrian Mc Myler, PRO of the Inish Theatre Group.

“Instead, we are coming together as a community to reflect on the struggles faced by children globally and to send a message of unity, support, and hope for peace in the coming year.”

“The Inish Theatre Group hopes that this rendition will inspire others to think about the world’s most vulnerable populations and to take action in their own ways to support peace and kindness,” says Chairperson Elaina Mc Ginley.

“We are thinking about the children all over the world who are suffering, and we hope this video reminds people of the power of music and community,” added Maureen Loughrey Tolley, Director.

“As we approach 2025, we are hopeful for a year of peace, understanding, and a brighter future for all.”
