St. Stephen’s Day walks to remember beloved nurse Mary Ellen Molloy

A special fundraiser returns to Donegal this Thursday in memory of Mary Ellen Molloy, a much-loved young woman who passed away at Christmas 2019.

Mary Ellen, from Ardara, died at the age of 26 following a tragic car accident in Melbourne, where she had been working as a psychiatric nurse.

Mary Ellen remains cherished in the hearts of her parents Terence and Angela, brothers John Ross and Karl Joseph and her wide circle of family and friends.

The now annual “Walk With Me” 5km walk/run event will be held in six locations in Donegal from 12noon on St Stephen’s Day.

John Ross Molloy, Mary Ellen’s younger brother, organises the event to celebrate Mary Ellen’s life and to remember all loved ones who have passed.

Funds raised will be donated to the Downstrands Family Resource Centre, Donegal Resource Centre and The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
