Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Letterkenny over the Christmas period.

The incident took place on the De Valera Road at around 3am on Friday, December 27.

It has been alleged that one man, who was part of a group of 6-7, assaulted another man at that location. The injured party sustained ‘non-life threatening injuries’ as a result, a garda spokesperson said.

If anybody was in that area between 2.45am and 3.15am with a dash cam, they are urged to make the footage available to Gardaí in Letterkenny on 0749167100.
