Finn Harps has confirmed the termination of the contract of Dubliner Joe Gorman after his ‘drink in charge’ conviction.

Last month, Harps unveiled Gorman (30) as their new signing.

However, the same week, he was convicted at Swords District Court of being drunk in charge of a vehicle, fined €1,000 and banned for two years.

Gorman’s solicitor argued he was not driving the car at the time, but a judge found him guilty.

“The club can confirm the cancellation of Joe Gorman’s contract by mutual agreement. We wish Joe all the best moving forward,” Finn Harps said in a statement released today.
