Finn Harps have announced that today’s friendly fixture against Derry City has been called off.
Finn Park was set to host Harps’ first home friendly fixture of the preseason later this afternoon with some North West derby action.
However, club officials have now moved to cancel the fixture due to this week’s icy weather conditions.
Despite an improvement in the weather being expected this weekend, the 2pm kickoff still came too soon to get things ready for football today.
“Unfortunately today’s game against Derry City has fallen victim to the weather- the thaw just did not come quick enough,” the club posted on social media.
“Details on any refixed date will be provided as soon as possible.”
