A young man was injured after being struck by a car in the Twin Towns at the weekend.

Gardaí received a report of the collision which occurred at around 1am on Sunday at Main Street, Ballybofey.

It is understood the pedestrian, who is in his mid-twenties, received minor injuries and was not brought to hospital at that time.

Enquiries are ongoing, a garda spokesperson told Donegal Daily.
