Investigation launched after suspicious driver approaches young teen in Inch Island

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a concerning incident where a teenage boy was approached by a suspicious driver in the Inch Island area yesterday.

The incident happened shortly before 1pm on Friday afternoon.

Gardaí say a teenage boy reported the incident, after he was approached in “unexplained circumstances” by an adult male who was unknown to him, who was driving a van.

In a statement, Gardaí said that they are “conducting inquiries to determine the exact nature of the incident and verify the reported concerns.”

They confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the matter.
