It was Eunan Russell who claimed victory in last week’s Saturday Open at the Letterkenny Golf Club.
He saw off tough competition from Ciaran Quinn who matched his 40-point performance.

Saturday Open 8/2/25
On a cold and crisp day for golf, the excellent Eunan Russell (40pts) beat Ciaran Quinn (40pts) on a BOT. In his final three holes, two pars allowed Eunan to take home the top prize. Tommy Dempsey placed third with 38 points. A crucial birdie on the 18th hole secured the third prize for Tommy in a tight battle with Adrian Daly. Finally, in in-form Shaun Duffy had another wonderful score shooting, two over par, with a gross winning score of 74. Brilliant golf, Shaun!
Mixed Texas Scramble 9/2/25
A wonderful eagle on the 18th hole ensured a comfortable victory for the team of Paddy Hannigan, Shay Henry, George Onofrei and John Doran in our Saturday Texas Scramble. The winning score was a superb 51 points! Second place with 49 points was the impressive team consisting of Declan Burke, Gerry O’Sullivan, Kate Gallagher and the outstanding Marian O’Sullivan. The ever-reliable Philip Friel led home his team of Dermot Rainey, Michael Bryce and Peter Friel into an exquisite third place.
