The Silver Tassie Hotel are on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join their team and drive excellence in operations, team development, and safety.

Role Overview

As the Hotel Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while focusing on staff recruitment and development, energy efficiency, and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent organisational skills and a passion for creating a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Manage daily operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.• Collaborate with departmental heads to identify and resolve operational challenges.• Maintain high standards in housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.• Collaborating with staff and management to reach sales targets while minimising operational costs, including labor and food and beverage supplier expenses.

Staff Recruitment & Training

  • Lead the recruitment process to build a skilled and motivated team.
  • Design and deliver staff training programs to enhance skills and ensure consistent service standards.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, growth, and engagement.

Energy Management & Sustainability

  • Monitor and optimise energy consumption to achieve cost savings and environmental targets.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices across the property

Fire & Health Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations, including routine checks, staff training, and emergency response planning.
  • Oversee health and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments and implementing improvements where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in hotel management or a similar operational role.
  • Strong knowledge of energy management, fire safety, and health and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • A passion for sustainability and innovation in operations.
