Donegal 0-09 v 2-23 Derry

Donegal’s hurlers were soundly defeated this afternoon as their relegation from Division 2 of the National Hurling League was confirmed.

A trailblazing first half from Derry erased any home advantage that Donegal may have had in this relegation decider – Derry entered the half-time break down by a score 0-15 to 0-03.

Their plight was made worse as second-half goals by Derry’s Thomas Brady and Shea Cassidy confirmed Donegal’s relegation.

Mickey McCann’s men will now have to pick themselves up to go again ahead of their upcoming Christy Ring Cup campaign.
