It was another busy week at Letterkenny Golf Club.

St. Patrick’s Day Cup

Congratulations to Michael Shiel who kicked off the golfing season in style with a wonderful victory in the St. Patrick’s Day Cup. Michael’s score of 42 points pipped Dominic Deeny to the top prize by just a single point! In third place was the superb Robbie McHugh with 41 points.

Saturday Open – 22nd March

Seamus Lynch powered his way to an impressive four-shot victory in our recent Saturday Open. Seamus’ forty points ensured he had a comfortable safety net to the steady Ciaran Haran on 36 points. His brilliant birdie on the 11th hole set him on his way to an early title in 2025. In third place was Gareth McNern. With a solid round of golf from Gareth and with a better score on the closing stretch in his next round, Gareth won’t be far away again!

Singles Match Play Champion 2024

Pictured below is Mr. Captain Declan Burke collecting his trophy for his outstanding triumph in the singles matchplay in 2024! This competition was kindly sponsored by Murphy Maintenance. We wish Captain Declan every success in the year ahead and thank Murphy Maintenance for their continued support of Letterkenny Golf Club.

First Major of the Year – The Voucher Competition

Spring has sprung, the evenings are longer and the weather is improving… that means we are fast approaching the first Major of the year, The Voucher Competition. This will take place on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of April. Get your name on the timesheet soon, get practising and let’s see who will become the first major winner of the year. Good luck everyone!

2025 Masters Fantasy Golf Fundraiser

We are delighted to announce that we are running a fantasy golf competition once again for The Masters! This is one of our main fundraisers, so we call on your support to make it successful. You simply pick three golfers from the list provided on the website. Each golfer has assigned odds. The total combined odds of your three chosen golfers must be a minimum of 150/1. Entry is €10. Look at our Facebook and/or Instagram page for a link to enter. Your support is greatly appreciated!
