The principal of Loreto Secondary School Letterkenny, Ms Geraldine Mullen, is to retire at the end of the current school year.

Ms Mullen has spent the past ten years at the school and was appointed principal in May, 2019.

She informed parents and staff of her plans today.

Ms Mullan said “I have had ten very happy years here and it has been and absolute privilege to watch your daughters grow from strength to strength.

“I will miss all the great moments of joy and fun that comes from working with our young people. AT the end of the day, they are what school life is all about.

“Equally, it has been a privilege and a pleasure to deal with the members of the parent body, and I have greatly appreciated the partnership that we have shared.”

Ms Mullen said she was looking forward to he remaining few months at Loreto.
