Breaking: Ballybofey brothers to appear in court over €2.2M drugs haul

Two brothers are to appear in court this afternoon charged with Tuesday’s huge €2.2million drugs seizure near Ballybofey.

In a major operation, Gardaí and Revenue officers swooped on a commercial premises in a rural area near the Twin Towns where they discovered approximately 112 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €2,240,000.

The seizure is one of the largest ever made in Donegal.

The men, both in their 30s and from the area, are to appear at Letterkenny District Court shortly.
