Committee Chairperson Neil Martin is asking for the support of public across Donegal and further afield for two very worthy causes.
“The North West 10k is not far away now on Monday, May 5th. It’s a marvellous community event that has been so well supported down the years. It’s going 27 years and has raised nearly 984,000 euros for 40 charities. We are in sight of the million euros mark and it would be really special to do it this year” Mr Martin said.
The 10k Committee is now encouraging runners, walkers and families to get registered online and avoid the queues on the day. Multiple Sclerosis Donegal Branch and Donegal Horizons CLG are doing great work across the County and this is a chance for the people of Donegal to come out and support them on Monday, May 5th in Letterkenny.
“Runners, walkers and families have the chance to be part of history on that day as well so I am asking people to go online, click on the link on our social media pages and get registered. I would like again to acknowledge the fantastic support that our sponsors Brian McCormick Intersport, Century Complex, Donegal Daily, Mount Errigal Hotel and the Value Centre have been giving us this year. We have also got great backing from the local Cllrs in the past and that is continuing this year ” Mr Martin said.
