Sinn Fein are the most popular party in Ireland according to the latest round of political polls.

Today’s Ipsos B&A polls published by The Irish Times show that the leading opposition party has surged by six points, up to 26 percent support.

Meanwhile a fall of three percentage points sees support for Fine Gael at a record low following the recent General Election, slumping by three points to 16 percent support.

Coalition partners Fianna Fail fared better however, rising by a point to 22 percent.
