Donegal County Council’s Local Election 2024 Hub website has won a Judges’ Choice award at the recent ESRI Ireland Customer Success Awards.
The awards recognise excellence in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) across the public and private sectors.
Donegal County Council’s Local Election Hub was a dedicated election information site, which provided live updates for the public on polling day, as well as resources for candidates such as nomination forms, deadlines and guidance.
“This organisation has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to the democratic process. The team delivered a user-friendly and accessible tool that significantly enhanced public engagement and transparency. This project stood out for its impact on promoting democracy and public involvement, showcasing the power of democracy and GIS in action,” Joanne McLaughlin, Head of Marketing at ESRI Ireland said.
