Police have arrested a man after he was caught with a quantity of drugs on one of the main routes between Donegal and Derry.
The 25-year-old man was arrested after his car was searched on the Buncrana road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He was arrested on suspicion of Possession of a Class A Drug with Intent to Supply, Possession of a Class A Controlled Drug and Possession of a Class B Controlled Drug.
The man remains in Police custody as investigations continue.
Police Inspector Craig said: “We are working every day to tackle the supply, use and harm caused by illegal drugs and we will continue to do this to disrupt and prevent those involved in drug-related activity and who bring nothing but harm to the most vulnerable within our communities.”
