A Letterkenny man has pleaded guilty to producing a knuckle duster during the course of a serious assault on Halloween night.
Donal Kelly reaffirmed a plea of guilty when he appeared before Judge John Aylmer at Letterkenny Circuit Court.
The 27-year-old was before the court over an incident at Ard Ban, Long Lane, Letterkenny on October 31, 2022.
Kelly, of Windmill View, spoke only to reaffirm his plea. He has been charged with assaulting Oisin Logue and causing him harm.
He is also charged that while committing an offence under section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997, he did during the course of a fight produce in a manner likely unlawfully to intimidate another person an article capable of inflicting serious injury, namely a knuckle duster.
Barrister Mr Simon Gillespie BL, led by Mr Colm Smyths SC, asked that the matter be adjourned to July for sentencing.
Judge Aylmer remanded Kelly on bail on the same terms.
