Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision outside Milford on Friday evening.

Ms Susan Hamilton, aged 74, from Manorcunningham, lost her life in the collision involving a car and a van at Bunlin Bridge on the Milford-Cranford road.

Ms Hamilton, a mother-of-four, was driving the car. The driver of the van, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area of Bunlin Bridge on the R245 between 7.15pm and 7.45 pm on that date are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milford Garda Station on (074) 9153060, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
