A public call has been issued for CCTV footage as gardaí probe an attempted carjacking on a rural road outside Milford.
The incident occurred two weeks ago, in the early hours of Thursday the 29th of May (at approx. 3am).
The male driver was travelling along the Milford-Termon road at Carrownaganonagh when three men, all dressed in dark clothing, emerged from a vacant farmhouse on the roadside. One of the men demanded that the driver exit his vehicle, while the other two positioned themselves to block his path ahead.
The driver managed to escape the situation and leave the area unharmed.
Gardaí are currently seeking CCTV footage as part of their ongoing investigation. They are also appealing to anyone who was in the Carrownaganonagh area with a dash-cam between 2am and 4am on Thursday, 29th May, to make their footage available.
Gardaí are also keen to hear from anyone who travelled in that area and may have observed three men on foot, or who has any other relevant information that could assist with their enquiries.
