A valuable Boulonnais horse has been reported stolen from a field at Ture, Muff.

Gardaí in Buncrana have launched an investigation into the theft, which occurred between 5pm on Saturday the 31st of May and 10am on Sunday the 1st of June.

The stolen horse is a three-year-old male, white in colour, and stands at 16 hands high. A distinctive feature of the horse is an anchor tattoo or brand on its neck.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may have observed suspicious vehicles or activity in the area between those dates to get in touch with us. Should anyone have any information in relation to the whereabouts of the horse or should anyone come across it for sale, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.”
