Ms Caroline McHugh has been appointed as the new Principal of Loreto Letterkenny.

Ms McHugh, a former Deputy Principal, will take over the role from Geraldine Mullan on her retirement at the end of this term.

In a message to students, Ms Mullan said she was “absolutely delighted” with Ms McHugh’s appointment.

Ms Mullan said that Ms McHugh has contributed enormously to the school since she moved from Dublin eight years ago.

“On behalf of all of us, I want to wish her every blessing and good wish as she takes over as Principal of Loreto Secondary School, Letterkenny,” said Ms Mullan.

“I know that she will enjoy your unstinting support as much as I have done.”
