Tomorrow has been earmarked for the annual “I Love Inishowen Day”.

The occasion is a celebration of everything that makes the beautiful peninsula special. Inishowen people, businesses and the community are urged to get involved by creating mini-events, offering something unique, or simply sharing their love for Inishowen online.

The goal, according to Go Visit Inishowen, is to drive footfall, boost local pride, and create a social media buzz that shines a light on Inishowen .

“To ensure that I Love Inishowen Day becomes an enduring success, we would love for as many businesses as possible to take part,” a spokesperson for Go Visit Inishowen said. “We envision this as a platform for showcasing the diverse offerings and creativity of Inishowen’s trades and businesses.”

How Can Your Business Take Part?

Businesses are encouraged to come up with their own event, offer, sale, or any other special promotion that aligns with the spirit of I Love Inishowen Day.

“Let your imagination run wild, and we’ll support you every step of the way. There’s no one-size-fits-all! Whether you’re a café, shop, tour provider, artist, or pub – you can join in whatever way suits your business.”

Some examples:

  • Offer an “Inishowen Special” for one day only
  • Run a small workshop, tasting, or pop-up event
  • Create a local giveaway or competition
  • Collaborate with a neighbouring business
  • Share your story or history as a local business
  • Set up a “selfie station” or photo-friendly backdrop

 Use Social Media Frames

To help you spread the word, Go Visit Inishowen has created branded Instagram and Facebook Story/Post Frames that you can drop your photos or announcements into. These give everything a cohesive “I Love Inishowen Day” look – while letting your unique business personality  shine through. Make sure to post using the hashtag #ILoveInishowenDay as well as tagging @ go.visit.inishowen
