The Donegal County Board is expecting a full house in Ballybofey on Sunday for the All-Ireland Preliminary Quarter Final clash with Louth.
As of yesterday evening, almost 13,500 tickets were sold – the current capacity for MacCumhaill Park is just 16,500.
“With just three days to go, we expect it to definitely sell out,” Donegal GAA PRO, Sinéad Breen told Donegal Daily.
Tickets can be purchased online or via local SuperValu stores, while a number of clubs have received small allocations.
The game will throw-in at 4pm and will be broadcast live on GAA+.
Louth are in flying form and won this year’s Leinster Championship.
Ciaran Moore’s last gasp wonder-point last Sunday ensured Donegal finished second in their group, a score which also eliminated Mayo from the All-Ireland.
As the second place team, Jim McGuinness’ team has home advantage.
Donegal could only have been drawn against Galway, Cork or Louth as they could not have faced Cavan having already met them in the group stages.
It will be a ‘do or die’ game for Donegal after a season which has seen them come through some very testing games to date.
Donegal’s Shane O’Donnell expects Louth will travel to Ballybofey with “plenty of confidence” and says he and his team-mates are “taking nothing for granted” against the Leinster Champions.
