Sign-up now for a summer of fun for your family with Spraoi agus Spórt summer camps. The 2025 programme is now open, for nine fantastic weeks of fun, adventure, creativity, crafts and excitement.

Spraoi agus Spórt say they are thrilled to offer 14 unique camps this year, in and around Carndonagh. They are tailored for toddlers through teens, to suit children of all interests and abilities. Activities start this week with the junior and senior Multi-Activity Camps, which run until the 22nd August.

“We really do have something for everyone,” says Spraoi agus Spórt chief executive, Helen Nolan.  “For adventure & water-lovers, there’s surfing, kayaking, pier-jumping, and action-packed adventure sports. For creatives and tech fans, we have music and movement, gaming, animation, and cartoon drawing.  For crafters and junior chefs, we have sewing, pottery, and cooking”.

There will also be an ‘An Ghaeltacht’ summer camp, offering art, drama, baking, science and tech through Irish.

Helen says the flagship Multi‑Activity Camp runs every weekday from 10 am–3 pm from June 23 to August 22, keeping children busy all summer long. Most of the other camps run for one week.

Multi‑Activity Camp

Spraoi agus Spórt is an award‑winning social enterprise based in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal, dedicated to supporting families, including children with disabilities or autism. They offer low-cost, high-quality camps that give working parents peace of mind—and children an unforgettable summer experience.

Multi Activity camp is free for lots of families depending on their CHICK (Childcare Identifier Code Key). Otherwise, there is a maximum cost of 6.80 per day for all children under the National Childcare Scheme.

“We had nearly 500 campers in 2024, and with the rising demand, we’re on track to surpass that this year,” says Helen. “Parents love the entertainment and learning opportunities the camps offer their children. We’re proud that our camps are fully inclusive, with free one‑to‑one support for children with special needs.”

The camps are led by a great team of over 60 people including, facilitators, our own staff, special needs assistants and students, says Helen. “We also employ college and secondary students over the summer, and we couldn’t deliver our camps without them”.

A key feature of the 2025 programme for parents is that it includes early drop off from 8am and late pick up to 6pm.
