Letterkenny businesswoman Sally Murphy has been elected as the new President of the Donegal Women in Business Network.

The creative communications consultant and author takes over the role from Larissa Feeney, Founder and CEO of Kinore.

Sally Murphy is the founder of welltold, a story driven consultancy that helps leaders build and deliver compelling communications that drive change. She is a TEDx speaker and author of the book, ‘So What? Who Cares!’, launched in 2024.

Sally has been an active member of the Donegal Women in Business Network committee since 2020.

She now steps into this new role with passion, purpose and a deep commitment to empowering women in business across Donegal.

In a message to members, she said: “As President of the Donegal Women in Business Network, my role is to serve YOU our members and work with our amazing committee to nurture a space where every woman feels a part of our community and supported to grow in business, no matter what stage they are at. Because I know, that a rising tide lifts all boats!”

The Donegal Women in Business Network (DWIBN) will host a special Summer Solstice celebration on Thursday, 26 June 2025, at Oakfield Park, Raphoe.

This annual event brings together women in business from across the county to celebrate leadership, connection, and community.

The keynote speaker for the evening is Marie Gleeson (pictured), former Naval Commander and one of the first women to serve in the Irish Navy.

Sally Murphy said: “We’re delighted to welcome Marie Gleeson to Donegal. I’ve been fortunate enough to hear Marie speak before – her story is not only inspiring, but deeply relevant to women at every stage of their careers. This event is about recognising our achievements, learning from one another, and moving forward with purpose and confidence.”

Attendees will enjoy an evening of inspiration, informal networking, light refreshments, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded women in the beautiful surroundings of Oakfield Park.

Founded in 1999, DWIBN has spent over 25 years supporting women in business throughout the county. From start-ups to seasoned entrepreneurs, the network offers events, workshops, and peer support to help women grow their businesses and professional confidence.

Membership of DWIBN is open to all women in business – whether self-employed, employed, or thinking about starting out. Benefits include access to regular networking events, learning opportunities, business promotion, and a supportive community dedicated to helping women succeed.
