A video from Letterkenny is winning hearts Stateside after it was featured on NBC News!
TV viewers in the US were shown a TikTok this week of local man Cathal Herron, who made the most romantic gesture for his wife Bernie on their 40th wedding anniversary.
For their Ruby anniversary, Cathal bought Bernie her dream car, a stunning 1978 Citroën 2CV.
He decided to surprise her with the gift on her birthday, in none other than the Letterkenny Shopping Centre car park.
Bernie’s reaction to the surprise gift went viral on TikTok thanks to their daughter Niamhín’s video.
1.4million views later, and NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas picked up the clip for a ‘Top Moment’ segment.
The programme averages 5.7 million viewers a night, which means that Cathal and Bernie’s feelgood story has gone even more viral!
