  • In my last business we recruited exclusively using recruitment agencies so when i returned to Ireland I used the same method. Recruitment firms are not cheap but for startups. The quality of the CVs surprised me and by the time I read the last one it actually saddened me, so many quality people seeking jobs. People with high quality degrees, 2 Degrees, Masters, MBAs and the roles were offering were entry roles, people really really want to work and live in Donegal. After reading the CVs and experience and interviewing, we met people with skills that we knew would really benefit our business in areas other than those we advertised for and i guess that was the benefit of using Donegal Daily, it has such a reach and whilst an agent will filter they wont know your business like you do, you recruit people not roles and sometimes not having that filter opens your eyes to other possible roles which can add value to your business. Ive found people were willing to take significant salary cuts to move back from Dublin (some weren't), the draw of Donegal is huge, its not that pull factor of people returning home, we received and interviewed people from a number of nationalities and its the quality of life they are after. So whether you run a corner store or are one of the large employers in the county i would highly reccomend going first with Donegal Daily.
