Mykidstime.ie has been shortlisted for the 2011 Bord Gais Social Media Awards 2011.
Shortlisted in the category for Facebook Page for a Business (Owner Managed), Mykidstime.ie faces competition in this category from some huge companies such as Vodafone Ireland, 3, Tour America and Meteor Mobile.
Mykidstime.ie has been live since 2007, but they only started working cohesively on a Social Media presence in the last 12 months. As well as a main facebook page, (www.facebook.com/mykidstime) for the company, each county has its own local facebook page for parents. Myidstime has made great use of facebook customisation such as a welcome landing page and a Locations Tab where parents can pick their own county page to ‘like’ as well. These county pages are run by local parents so that all information is local, up to date and relevant to parents.
Other social media innovations that Mykidstime has introduced recently include Live Q&A sessions on topics of interest, for e.g. Nutrition for Families, Books for Kids, Education and even Politics during the recent General Election, where parents can quiz experts in real time using the Wall and generating interaction and discussion about the topic.
The number of Mykidstime.ie Facebook fans has grown over the last 12 months by over 300%.
