TAX officials are set to trawl through GAA club and county records, it was announced today.
County chairmen were told at a meeting at Croke Park last month that the Revenue Commissioners want to double check records to make sure that all expenses have been vouched for.
They also want details of anyone paid for operating turnstiles for matches in Co Donegal and other counties.
A Donegal county board source told expressed confidence that all records here are in order.
Limerick county was audited last year, it was reported today. It took three days and the county board there given a clean bill of health.
