Following three months of rehearsals under the baton (or was it whip) of Lord of the Dance’s Fiona Gallagher, 24 dancers take to the stage of Aislann Rann na Feirste tonight (Friday) for Jigs n Reels in aid of Naomh Mhuire GAA Club in the Lower Rosses.
With shows tonight, Friday and again on Saturday night….the production has caught the imagination of the entire population of West Donegal and over 1000 are expected to view the show over its two nights.
Saturday night sold out in under an hour however the Friday night show has tickets available at the door of the well appointed and ever popular Aislann Centre.
Brian “Feda” O’Donnell on behalf of the organisers said “The dancers set a serious pace and standard from the beginning. We were all overwhelmed by their committment and the result will be two great nights of entertainment.”
Proceeds will go directly to the erection of match ready floodlights as well as increased changing rooms at what is one of the county’s finest GAA club facilities in Kincasslagh.
Good luck to everyone taking part! Thanks to Brid Sweeney for the pix
