Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 14.05.12
The Seniors and Reserves entertained Kilcar at home in the League on Sunday and on a blustery day they once again had mixed fortunes with the Seniors getting another good win while the Reserves were defeated.
The Junior men had a good away win on Saturday in Ardara winning by 0-10 to 1-04. None of the adult mens football teams have a game this week. Best wishes to Rory, Kevin and Donegal as they travel to Breffni Park to take on Cavan on Sunday.
The U-14 Boys begin their League campaigns this Wednesday evening. The Div. 1 team travels to the Bridge to face St. Michael’s, the Div. 2 team are at home to neighbours, Termon and the Div. 3 team make the long trek to face Urris. All games throw-in at 7:30pm.
The U-12 teams both won their openeing fixtures last weekend with the Div. 1 team seeing off Fanad Gaels and the Div. 2 team defeating Naomh Padraig, Lifford. The Div. 1 team travelled to Cloughaneely on Monday night and got 2 wins with the Div. 2 team also on their travels, taking on Robert Emmett’s in games that have been moved to Friday night.
Well done to David Ireland, Stephen Doherty, Aaron O’Connell, Conor O’Grady and Caoimhin Lennon who represented the club on the U16 County Hurling Team in the Ulster Feile last Saturday. They played Antrim, Down and Derry.
The U14 hurlers beat the Letterkenny Gaels in the league at home last Thursday.
The U8 Hurlers had their first outdoor Blitz of the year in Burt. We fielded 2 teams and played 7 competitive games. Thanks to all the players & parents for braving the cold and wind.
U16 and U18 Hurling training is on every Monday at 5:30pm in O’Donnell Park. U12 Hurling training Tuesday at 5:30pm, U14 Hurlers train at 4:30pm. As usual all new hurlers welcome.
The Golf Scramble will take place in Barnhill on Saturday, June 9th. It is being organised by James Friel on 086-8255474 or Sean Boyle, Elaina and Dermot. Teams of 4 are €100.
Cúl Camps will be in O’Donnell Park from 2nd July – 6th July. We will also be hosting our own Camps again this year. The Hurling & Camogie is on July 16th – 20th with the Football on July 23rd – 27th.
We extend our sympathies to the McGrath family, Upper Ard O’Donnell on their loss and to the family of Hughie Gallagher, Muckish Avenue.
