As they prepare to have a new defibrillator installed, there was a hive of excitement at Letterkenny Educate Together National School yesterday.
Staff, pupils and parents at LETNS are fundraising to get a new defibrillator and are hosting a fundraiser on Thursday in the school.
As part of their learning about the importance of a defibrillator, Search and Rescue officer John McShane visited the school yesterday to talk about his job – and about the vital role the defibrillator has in saving lives.
As a special treat, John arranged for the Irish Coast Guard helicopter to land beside the school, adding to an already exciting day!
