A Donegal man will appear again in court on Friday after being charged with 84 counts of rape and sexual assault.

The man, who is in his 50s, cannot be named for legal reasons.

The allegations against the man relate to alleged incidents between July 1990 and January 2005.

He appeared at Letterkenny District Court yesterday and will now be sent forward for trial at the Central Criminal Court.

The man was also charged with illegally possessing a fire arm on June 6th, 2010.
