JOB CREATION CONFERENCE HEARS CALLS FOR OPTIMISM

A JOB creation conference organised by Donegal Mayor Cora Harvey is underway at the Station House Hotel in Letterkenny today.

And they heard LYIT director Paul Hannigan call for a greater sense of optimism to help get the county through the economic crisis.

Mr Hannigan says the LYIT campus is developing closer links with local businesses through its Co-Labv centre.

And he says the college is providing more and more high level courses to meet the demands of future businesses.

This week LYIT announced new courses which include a Higher Certificate in Wind Energy Technology and a Higher Diploma in Financial Services Technologies.
