TIR CHONAILL ATHLETICS CLUB SUMMER CAMP

Tír Chonaill Athletics Club grew from three thriving juvenile clubs that existed in Donegal Town, Ballyshannon and Bundoran in the 1970’s

Tír Chonaill Athletics Club is a club with an open door policy, where you will be greeted with a warm welcome from friendly, courteous and experienced members and qualified coaches. Coaches who believe that everyone is capable of achieving their goals, regardless of age or fitness levels, and who strive towards this end in a friendly, supportive and safe environment. The club caters for athletes from 8 years old upwards, the oldest member being 68 years of age and for Juveniles, Seniors, Masters, Joggers, Walkers, Tri-Athletes and Fit4Life covering such events as Track & Field Athletics, Road Running, Cross-Country Running, Triathlon, Walking and Hiking.

ABOUT THE CAMP

The camp is part of the Tír Chonaill AC Summer programme and provides a fun, structured environment in which children aged five through to fifteen can socialise, make friends through the FUNdamentals of Sport. The camp is situated in the grounds of the Abbey vocational school.

Supervised Lunch breaks; Qualified personnel including a child protection officer;End of camp tournament

Sample  Activities

Volleyball, Badminton, Football, Basketball, Sportshall, Tag Rugby, Dodge Ball, Gymnastics, Dancing, Quiz, Art & Crafts, Circle Games, Athletics, Olympic Trampoline, Wet-weather activities (if required).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

If it’s warm -Sun screen, snacks and lots of water

If it’s Cold and wet -A coat, snacks and lots of water

Just drop your completed application and cheque, money order or even cash into any Cara Pharmacy outlet in Donegal Town or Bundoran or into All Sports on Quay Street Donegal Town.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Places are limited.  While club leaders will take all reasonable action to ensure the safety and well being of the children, we cannot be held responsible for damages, injuries or loss of possessions and parents/guardians are advised to obtain personal insurance for these occurrences. Misbehavior and/or continual breach of camp rules will result in the participant being suspended from the camp and no refund being given.  Children attending camp should not be left unsupervised at camp venue until the official coaches are present.  Children must be collected promptly at 2:00pm.

Tir Chonaill Athletics Club

Senior 5 Day Summer 2011 Camp

The camp, aimed at 12 to 15 year olds, will introduce and develop a variety of athletic events in a fun environment. The camp will be staffed by qualified athletics teachers/coaches.

Disciplines will include – Long Jump; High Jump; Pole Vault; Shot Putt; Middle distance; Javelin plus gymnastics, trampoleening, orienteering and games

Cost one family member €60       Two family members – €110        Family group €150
