Club Notes  – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 22.08.11

Best of luck to Rory, Kevin and Donegal as they take on the Dubs this Sunday in Croker. We will be distributing our ordered tickets  this Thursday evening at 7:30pm in the Clubhouse. There is a very special preview night in the Clubhouse this Friday (26th) at 8:30pm with Declan Bonner, Joe Brolly and Oisin McConville all confirmed. MC on the night will be our own Ciaran “Duck” O’Donnell. Tickets cost just €10 and a great nights entertainment is guaranteed.

Last weekend was a free weekend for adult mens teams in football as this week will be too with Donegal’s date with Dublin. The Senior Hurlers were well beat last week by Co. champions, MacCumhaills. The twin towns men showed they will not relinquish their title without a fight.

The hugely successful Ladies team of the 90’s through to the middle of the last decade held a successful reunion last week.

The Minors had a walkover last week after Milford failed to field in their 1st leg Championship game. It is not clear whether they will field for the return leg in O’Donnell Park this weekend.

The U-13 Div. 1 team begin their campaign this Saturday away to Sean MacCumhaills. The Div. 2 team have a bye this week.

The U-11’s had a great win at the Bellaghy tournament last weekend. I hope to have more details for you next week.

There is no Sunday Morning Academy this week due to the All-Ireland semi-final.

U16 league final between Carn postponed due to county feile.

The U16 Hurling League Final between Carndonagh and St Eunan’s has been postponed due to the County Feile. Best of luck to our lads playing in the U14 County Feile and the U16 County Feile.

The U12 Camogie Blitz took place in MacCumhaills on Friday with Burt, St Eunan’s and MacCumhaills attending. Camogie fixtures for August include the 26th for the U12s in Burt. The camogie referee course for adults & young whistlers has been postponed. If you wish to attend the course please contact Gavin Craig. Anyone wishing to purchase tickets for the Camogie finals please contact Gavin Craig.

U-16 & Minor training is on each Monday at 5:30pm. U-12/13 Hurling training is on Tuesday at 5:30pm. The Friday Hurling & Camogie Academies begin at 6:30 on Friday in O’Donnell Park.

There were 6 winners in this week’s Lotto draw. They matched 3 numbers and win €20 each. The numbers are 4-6-10-12. Ciaran Maguire, Sallaghgrane, Leo Donnelly, College Place (both cards), Noel Ferry; Vincent Gildea, c/o Adrian; George McLaughlin, Ard Colmcille and Bernard Holmes, Co. Tyrone.

Sympathy is extended to the Clarke family and to Sean Ferriter on their recent bereavements.
