GAA NOTES: GLENSWILLY

The lotto numbers for 12th September were 5,13,16,23 match 3 winner was James Boyle. Kilmore. Next week’s jackpot is €2,780.

Sellers this weekend are Liam Molloy and Brian mc Daid.

The seniors are through to the senior championship final after beating Kilcar in the ½ final on Sunday, the score was 1-07 to 0-07. The final is fixed for Sunday the 2nd of October against St Michaels in mc Cool park.

Senior and reserves are playing Gaoth Dobhair this weekend in the league on Saturday.

The Glen will be hosting a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in the winter. Training will commence early September. We are currently looking for participants, any persons interested can contact Hughie McDaid (086 8033856) or Mary C Devine (087 6539050).

There will be a coffee morning and cake-sale in the clubhouse on Saturday 24th September from 11 to 2 in aid of the Donegal Hospice, all donations of homebaking would be greatly accepted, please come along to support this worthy cause.

Could anyone who is interested in taking part in Irish classes during the winter go to the clubhouse @ 8pm on Tuesday the 20th.

Congratulations to the 3rd team who had a great victory against Robert Emmetts on Tuesday evening. The team began the 2nd half 5 points down. They then conceded a goal and a point in short time to go 9 points down. After this they dug in and got some great scores in the last 20 minutes of the game to win by 4 points. It was a great all round team performance.

The next monthly meeting will take place on Monday the 10th October.
