MYSTERY SURROUNDS CRITICAL ATTACK ON TRAGIC DONEGAL MAN

Tributes have been pouring in for the young Donegal man who was critically injured following an incident outside a premises in Derry yesterday morning.

Caolan Page, 19, from Killea, suffered serious head injuries as a result of the incident which happened on Magazine Street in the city centre.

Several of Caolan’s friends have said he passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital yesterday but there is still no official confirmation.

A Facebook site in honour of the popular young man, RIP Caolan Page, and has almost 3,000 likes on it already.

Many personal tributes have been paid on the site to the 19 year old former St.Columb’s student.

The Facebook site claims that Caolan was attacked in Derry city centre.

Initial reports had suggested he had fallen from Derry’s walls but there is still no official confirmation on the status of the police investigation.

The PSNI cordoned off the area where Caolan was found yesterday as forensics officers moved in.

The PSNI also appealed for anybody who was in the vicinity of Magazine Street around 2am yesterday to contact them if they may have witnessed anything unusual.
