FAMILY PLEAD FOR MISSING PET AFTER LIGHTNING STORM

A heartbroken family have pleaded for help in finding their pet dog who bolted during the recent lightning storm.

Jessie, a black and white collie, disappeared from its Letterkenny home on Thursday morning.

Jessie’s owners say their children are very upset since Jessie broke out of its enclosure at their Tullygay home.

“The children are very upset and so are we. She’s a lovely dog and must be very frightened.

“The vet told us that she could be hiding under a bush and might not come out. It’s terrible to think that she’s out there alone.

“We have put up posters and searched every field but there is still no sign of her,” said owner Stephen.

Although Jessie is microchipped, she is not wearing collar.

The family has even offered a reward for her safe return.

Anybody who may have seen the dog are asked to contact either 087 7578669 or 086 3104218.
