Four Masters G.A.A. Club

The €50 winners in the Annual Lotto for Week 43 were Mae Timoney, Doonan and Edwin Kirk, c/o Michael Kelly. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 8 & 19 with the jackpot now standing at €1,700.

Test your forecasting skills now by entering the Sports Prediction Quiz launched by the Club recently sponsored by All Sports. Forecast the winners of 20 sporting events this summer to be in with a chance to win the 1st Prize of €200.00 Cash & All Sports Donegal Jersey or the 2nd Prize of a €100 All Sports Shopping Voucher. Entry sheets at only €5.00 can be downloaded from www.fourmastersgaa.com or purchased from Sean Dunnion/Kieran Espey, All Sports, Dom’s Pier 1, Mc Cafferty’s Tir Conaill Bar, The Bank and O’ Donnell’s Bar.

Congratulations to Under 14 footballer Gerard Byrne who will represent his school, Scoil an Linbh Iosa, Killymard, in Croke Park on All-Ireland Final day next September.

The primary schools’ Gaelic games organisation, Cumann na mBunscol, runs a seven-a side competition each year to select players to represent their counties at the All-Ireland semi-finals and finals in football and hurling. Gerard, the son of Gerry and Christine from Altidoo, was one of four boys from the South Division to qualify from a divisional trial for a final trial at county level.

Another club player, Joe Sheerin from St. Francis National School, Barnesmore, also went through to the final trial. Gerard was selected top player from a group of twenty at the final trial in Letterkenny last week. He will represent County Donegal in an 7-a-side game at half time of the All-Ireland Football Final. Let’s hope that Gerard Byrne will not be our only club player performing at Croker that day!
