Derryman James McClean got the biggest cheer at Craven Cottage and Man Utd debutant Robbie Brady will make the back pages for a superb performance.
But the Killybegs man – so inexplicably under-rated by Trapattoni on so many occasions – showed what he can do over 90 minutes.
Brady set up Kevin Doyle’s opener early in the first half before hitting a volley to make it 2-0, after latching on to a clearance from a cross from Coleman.
Brady then set up Shane Long for the Ireland’s third while Alex Pearce added a fourth after Eid Al-Farsi had grabbed Oman’s only goal.
The normally conservative Trap was urging his team forward and sparkling displays by Coleman and Long (and Brady of course) made it a pleasure to watch.
More please Mr Trapattoni.
