Minor ladies beaten at home by a strong St Eunans side on Sat Morning

St. Mary’s enjoyed their 4th victory in this years U13 competition with a fine victory over Naomh Colmcille on Friday evening. St. Mary’s dominated the early stages but were finding scores hard to find. However 2 goals from full forward, Conor Patton turned things and scores began to flow. The home side were also finding good return from their sorties into the opposition half scoring 1 – 2 in the first half to St. Mary’s 3 -11.

The second half was dominated by the away team who scored a further 2 – 11. It was a great opportunity for all substitutes to impress including PJ McDaid, Connor Bonner and Keenan Gibson. They were many other fine performances from Ciaran McNamee, Eoghan Kennedy, Joseph McGill and John Moore. However for outstanding leadership, tackling and overall work-rate Dion Foy deserves special mention for his man of the match performance. Final score: 5 – 20 to 3-4.
