GAA: ST EUNAN’S GAA CLUB NEWS

The Seniors put in two good performances on Thursday against Kilcar and Sunday against Killybegs to advance to the semi-finals of this year’s Championship semi-final where they will take on Dungloe who ousted reigning champions Glenswilly. The match is on Saturday evening in Ballybofey with an 8pm throw-in.

The Reserves will also meet the Fishermen in their quarter-final this Saturday in Glenfin with a 5pm throw-in.

This Sunday we will host another double header with N. Colmcille taking on Aodh Ruadh in the Intermediate semi-final at 2:30pm before N. Conaill take on the winner of the play-off between St. Michael’s and Four Masters at 4pm. All stewards are asked to be in the Park for 1:30pm and are reminded to help with the clean-up operation afterwards.

The Minor Girls will take on Four Masters on Saturday in Killygordon in their County semi-final at 12 noon, all support welcome.

The U15’s went down to  a 1 point defeat to Gaoth Dobhair in the Northern Final in Cloughaneely, thanks to the Falcarragh club for use of the pitch and all their help on the day.

The U13 Boys will take on MacCumhaills in their Northern Board Final with the date and venue tbc at the time of going to press.

This Sunday is the last Sunday Morning Football Academy training for 2012. The Presentation Night will take place on Thursday, Novemeber 1st in Arena 7. Mre details next week.

The U13 hurlers defeated Carndonagh but had a disappointing loss to Banagher at the weekend. Details of their semi-final opponents in the North West League are now awaited.

 

The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy has now finished their outdoor season and will begin indoors in the coming weeks, keep an eye on the notes and facebook page for details.

 

The Minor Board Executive is meeting this Thursday (Oct. 18th) in the Clubhouse at 7pm.

The Senior Board AGM is provisionally fixed for Sunday, November 25th at 2pm in the Clubhouse.

 

There were 2 winners in this week’s Lotto draw that matched 3 numbers and win €50 each. Sean Grant, Orchard Grove (card) and Tommy Gibbons, Glentain Manor (Adrian). The numbers drawn were 11-12-19-24.

 

We extend our sympathies to Dermot Higgins and family on the death of his uncle in the USA.
