BRAINBOX Donegal woman Rose Boyle has become a champion on the Channel Four programme Countdown – after winning EIGHT shows in a row.

The Dublin-based trainee accountant is from Arranmore Island and joins a select club who have won eight contests in the long-running show and is now an OctoChamp.

She was congratulated by show host Nick Hewer (of Apprentice fame) as well as regulars Susie Dent, Rachel Riley dictionary corner special guest John Culshaw.

And while Rose had to stand down today as part of the rules of the show, she will be back for a Christmas Countdown Champions special.

You can watch how she did today by clicking on the video link of the episode above.
