A FANAD man has been fined for not having a TV licence after a series of cases were taken before Letterkenny District Court.
John Devlin, from Mulroy Bay View, Tamney, was fined €250 and ordered to pay costs of €100.
A TV licence inspector told Judge Paul Kelly that he had called to Mr Devlin’s home on April 27th last.
He said Mr Devlin had admitted having a television at his home and not having a licence for it.
He had failed to purchase a licence within 10 days of the inspection.
A second case involving a Milford woman was struck out after she did buy a licence.
A third case was adjourned until March.
The court cases today come after a number of inspections in the Letterkenny area last week.
