The U21’s had another thrilling victory in their championship semi-final against a gallant St. Michael’s, coming out on top by a single point on a score of 1-07 to 0-09. Jordan McBride was the Black & Amber hero when he saved a late penalty and rebound to keep the lead intact. Conor Gibbons chipped in with 1-05 of the tally from centre-forward. They will take on N. Conaill in this Sunday’s (Dec. 23rd) decider in Convoy with a 1pm throw-in.

The 1972 – 74, 3-in-a-row winning Minor football squads are holding a 40 year Reunion in the Clubhouse on Saturday, December 29th at 8:30pm, for more details contact Christy Callaghan on 085-7038194.

The Minor Board Presentation will take place in the Mt. Errigal Hotel on Sunday, January 20th. Tickets will be on sale early in the new year.

We are hoping to take down the remaining flags and bunting on Thursday, Dec. 27th (after the U21 Final is played). The town should be reasonably quiet and we could do with some help – especially from people with vans and ladders!

Best wishes to Alma and Seamus as they get married this Friday, Dec. 21st.

There is an informal club night out next Saturday (Dec. 22nd) in The Brewery from 9pm. Adult players, coaches, managers, parents, supporters etc. are all welcome.

There are a number of 2012 Donegal Football Yearbook’s available and they would make a great Christmas present given the year that’s in it. They cost just €10 and are available from Charlie McAteer on 087-2668633.

There are various Foundation, Level 1 & 2 Coaching Courses coming up early in the new year with places allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you want to do a course or get more details, contact Jim Clarke asap on 086-3131550.

There were 5 winners in this week’s Lotto draw that each matched 3 numbers and win €20 each. Sean O’Hara, Whitethorn Close; Michelle Shiels, Ard Colmcille (both Adrian); John Haran, Hawthorn Heights; Mary Sweeney, Carrygawley and Sean McVeigh, Windmill View (all card). Next week’s jackpot is €2,700.
