LAST CALL FOR JUNIORS

Letterkenny 24/7 Triathlon club is delighted to announce the arrival of it’s junior triathlon academy. The academy will consist of one day training camps every six weeks, with the first camp taking place on Sunday 3rd of February. The camp is for young individuals from 8 – 16 years of age. Camps will begin at 10am and finish at 4pm.

Camps will be broken down into three different training components, running, cycling and swimming with talks on different elements of the sport, such as nutrition, recovery and development taking place throughout the day.

Qualified coaches will be on hand to provide top of the range and up to date advice and guidance on each of the three disciplines. Cycling and running elements of the day will depend greatly on weather conditions, due to this we have teamed up with Optimal Fitness of Letterkenny who have a specialised indoor track and indoor bikes at their new gym location in Mountain Top Road. The swimming element of the day will take place at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny.

Any individuals that are interested in taking up a place on the academy or looking for more information about the days activities should register their interest with the club by contacting chairman Gavin Crawford on 087 1232426 or adding the club as a friend on facebook and posting a comment on their page.
